Giuseppe Zanotti talks friendship with Kanye West

Giuseppe Zanotti and Kanye West, shown here in February 2011, have worked together in the past - and Zanotti admits he would consider venturing into clothing design if he partnered with the fashion-forward rapper.

Giuseppe Zanotti and Kanye West have quite the bromance.

The legendary Italian shoe designer sang the rapper's praises in a recent interview with Life + Times, describing their friendship as 'a matter of sympathy and true brotherly love.'

'On the professional side, I believe he is an extremely versatile artist, a renaissance man,' Zanotti told Jay Z's website. 'It's not just a matter of good sound; there is the sound, the lyrics, his own outfits, the album cover, the video clips ... everything is perfectly taken care of and he creates poetry for your spirit and body.'

Zanotti, who is famous for his luxury sneakers and heels, also vouched for West's designing chops and ability to be part of changing trends.

'He was not afraid of facing such a dangerous world such as the fashion one, he was not afraid of shouting to everyone who he is,' Zanotti said.

The duo previously worked together on a pair of pearl-studded calfskin sandals that retailed for nearly $6,000 as well as all-white sculpted 'Cruel Summer' sandals, which were inspired by the G.O.O.D. Music album with the same name.

Could we be seeing another Zanotti-West collaboration in the future? Zanotti would be on board.

'I really would love having a guest designer like Kanye during Milan's fashion week,' he told Life + Times. 'He could shake the system with his adrenaline.'

Zanotti even admitted he would consider branching out into clothing, but only if he had the right partner.

'If Cristophe Decarnin or Kanye would like to team with me, I would like to design a pair of jeans and a T-shirt with them, nothing else,' he said. 'Other than that, just shoes.'

West debuted his first line in 2011. In July, his collaboration with A.P.C. sold out almost immediately and crashed the French fashion house's website.

The new dad, whose daughter with Kim Kardashian was born in June, was spotted front row at a number of shows during New York Fashion week, including Alexander Wang, Diesel Black Gold and Hood by Air.
