Love the ones you're with! Kim Kardashian's seat at her famous family's Thanksgiving dinner was empty this year, but the reality star found a home away from home with friends and fiance in Miami, Fla., on Thursday, Nov. 26.

'Being away from home for the holidays is hard but I'm so thankful for family & friends like this!' the 33-year-old stunner wrote on Instagram, tagging pals Scottie Pippen, Larsa Pippen, Jonathan Cheban, Amber Ridinger, and Loren Ridinger. 'I love you guys!'

Kardashian (who is on West's Yeezus tour with their 5-month-old daughter, North) also expressed gratitude for her loved ones back in L.A., as well as for her late father, Robert Kardashian, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003. 'This time of year always brings back such amazing memories,' she wrote in a special post on Nov. 28, recalling her annual ski trips with her dad. 'I am thankful I had them. I am so thankful for my family being close and always so supportive.'

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star went on to acknowledge West and little Nori. 'I am extra thankful this year for my baby girl and am so happy I get to spend this Thanksgiving as a family with my daughter and fiance,' she wrote. 'I wish you all a good healthy happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours...Don't eat too much.'

Easier said than done at the Kardashian-Jenner house this year. As momager Kris Jenner revealed on Instagram, she and her famous brood (minus Kim) had quite a feast planned for the holiday.

Among the many dishes on the menu at Jenner's Calabasas, Calif., home? Roasted turkey, honey-baked ham, brioche bread stuffing, sweet potato balls, green bean casserole, Khloe's macaroni and cheese, and cranberry sauce. And that's to say nothing of the seven desserts, which included salted caramel bread pudding, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and coffee crunch cake.

Another week, another tirade from the self-proclaimed cockroach of rap.

Kanye West has gone on another fashion-inspired tear, this time claiming he's the only reason that Nike continues to sell and release vintage Air Jordan shoes.

West's most recent sermon took place during an interview on SiriusXM radio with Sway Calloway, host of the Sway in the Morning show. The interview was picked up by Allan Brettman of OregonLive.com .

Colloway attempted to ask questions about West's 'The Yeezus Tour,' but the hip-hop artist instead went off on a tangent about his struggles in the fashion industry and his failed collaboration with Nike.

'It's very difficult to get people in high-end fashion to work with people who are considered to be musicians,' West said. 'If someone was a fashion designer and came to Dr. Dre, would Dr. Dre produce for them?'

West also discussed his frustration with Nike. The shoe company had allowed the rapper/producer to create his own line of 'Yeezy' shoes, but according to West, wouldn't let him push the limits of the design.

Yeah, they let me design. It's like, yeah, they did me a favor by letting me design, but they let other people design. They let Pharrell design. They let Eminem design. I just designed the Yeezy's. I turned up what they didn't think I could turn up that far. And they tried to hold it back.

West said his earlier designs (the Yeezy I and Yeezy II) were revolutionary in nature, claiming the shoes caused as much ruckus in the industry as Air Jordan's once created.

'People hadn't felt that feeling since the Jordans,' West said. 'And by the way, the Jordan's are only popular at this point because of two people: me and [West's co-manager] Don C.'

West asserted that Nike only decided to re-release editions of the Air Jordans after he and Don C had been spotted rocking the kicks in public.

This wasn't the most insane thing West uttered during the interview, however. He also said that instead of putting money into its global-education initiatives, Nike would be better off partnering up with -a company West is attempting to turn into a trillion-dollar conglomerate.

'I am standing up and telling you I am [Andy] Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation,' West said. 'I am Shakespeare in the flesh.'

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West kicked off their Thanksgiving in Miami.

Although Kris Jenner showed off the Kardashian-Jenner clan's Thanksgiving dinner menu in Los Angeles, it looks like the duo missed out on the festive feast, spending the holiday in Florida instead.

Clad in a sleeveless gray top, jeans and stiletto pumps, the E! star and her beau were spotted stepping out in the city with friends Thursday.

As for why Kim and Kanye were there, the rapper is set to perform in Miami at the American Airlines Arena tonight and then in Tampa, Fla. At the Tampa Bay Times Forum Saturday.

'Thanksgiving was the holiday that I always spent with my dad skiing every year in Vail, Colorado since I was 2 years old to 22,' Kim wrote. 'This time of year always brings back such amazing memories.'

'I am thankful I had them. I am so thankful for my family being close and always so supportive. I am extra thankful this year for my baby girl and am so happy I get to spend this Thanksgiving as a family with my daughter and fiancé.'

The E! star also added a couple of nostalgic photos to the post of her dad Robert Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian Jr., Khloé Kardashian Odom and herself all bundled up in matching ski attire.

The name has inspired jokes such as,'Does this make Kim's vag the Northwest Passage?' which seems kind of cruel to most people.

But let's listen to what the real experts have to say: People who are named North West. With so many people questioning West and Kardashian naming their daughter North West, others with the name say they don't have a problem with it at all.

'I wouldn't change it,' North E. West, a Pennsylvania man, told the New York Daily News. 'With me, it worked in the dating scene. It was just interesting and unique and set me apart ... It's a pretty unforgettable name, and I know my past girlfriends are hearing it everywhere right now. It's like a little dig.'

'It's free-spirited,' his mother Ferne West said. Ferne stated her husband came up with the name and they both liked it.

A man named North Leppert, told the News: 'My name has opened many, many doors for me. It's an icebreaker and sounds very forward and adventurous. Nobody forgets it.'

On Thursday morning, Kim Kardashian took to her website to share with fans what she is thankful for.
