Mariah's hubby isn't impressed

It's safe to say Kanye West has ruffled a few feathers this year with his pure adoration for himself and now the latest star to have taken issue with the rapper's self-proclaimed 'genius' title is Mr. Mariah Carey, comedian Nick Cannon who took to Twitter to blast the world's greatest ego.

Earlier this month Yeezy out did himself when it came to public embarrassment when he claimed the term 'genius' is his 'official job title'.

Obviously such an outlandish statement is going to be met with a mixture of heavy criticism and just pure bafflement with Nick becoming the latest star to speak out against Kanye's boastfulness.

'love @KanyeWest like a brother & been one of his biggest fans & friends since day 1, but Genius is eternal patience,' he posted on Twitter.

'@KanyeWest Real geniuses don't have to tell everyone that they are a genius.'

Wise words from Nick there, however later the 'America's Got Talent' host started to back track on his initial rant, tweeting: ''Maybe I should've just called him and told him that in private. Oops, my bad! Twitter-stream-of-consciousness LOL,' he wrote.

'I just got online and saw all these @KanyeWest interviews and I was inspired to rant.'

Earlier this week Kanye managed to hit headlines for all the wrong reasons AGAIN after comparing his daughter, North West, to British royalty insisting: '[My] daughter is in a position of a level of royalty like the prince and princess in London.'
