Kanye West is said to be silently seething that Beyonce has hit the top of the American charts with her self-titled fifth studio album.
The 36-year-old rapper is apparently enraged that 32-year-old Bey produced a 'visual album' of 14 songs and 17 accompanying music videos and left him in a position of being unable to complain that he wanted to produce a 'visual album' in 2010 without looking like a bitter, jealous rival.
'Kanye is feeling really defeated over Beyonce's album doing so well,' a source close to the self-proclaimed 'genius' told RadarOnline.

Beyonce's album sold over 1.5 million copies after its surprise release on December 13th without a stitch of promotion but West, of course, claims he thought of the release strategy first.
'He wanted to do a visual album for his Dark Twisted Fantasies album, but everyone around him convinced him it wouldn't work,' the insider continues.
'He's kind of annoyed, but he doesn't want to talk about how he came up with the idea first because of how he got slammed for saying he invented leather jogging pants a few years ago. Plus, he needs to stay on good terms with Jay Z.'
While West's latest album, Yeezus, hit the top of the charts in the UK last year, Beyonce has only made it to number 2 so far - but has outsold West's album around the world in a matter of weeks.
