Just a couple inches off, please! Apparently Kim Kardashian needed an excuse to take another selfie. On Saturday, Aug. 30, the reality star, 33, snapped a close-up shot of herself, posting it to Instagram with the caption, 'New hair cut alert #shorter #JenAtkin.'

At most Kanye West's wife only lopped off a few inches of her brunette locks, keeping a soft wave in her hair, which she also sported at the 2014 MTV VMAs last weekend.
Kardashian recently dished to Women's Wear Daily about her hair routine, noting, 'I start out the first day with a clean blowout. The second day, I put in dry shampoo, which adds texture. Then, the third day, I sleek it and I straighten it, and then, the fourth day, I put our oil in it, and I make it a really sleek look. I might do a ponytail or a sleek bun. That's my hair plan, and then I start over.'

Her daughter North, 14 months, also likes to style her own tresses.
'North likes to brush her own hair,' the little one's proud mom told WWD. 'You start with a brush and then you have to get a second brush [for her]. Right when you get it all perfect, she takes the brush and starts doing it herself.'
