Kanye West is reportedly working on a new album which is different from his previous album 'Yeezus' and it has been called similar to a 'pair of Timberlands' by his long-time collaborator Malik Yusef in the latest interview. Yusef, who has worked on Kanye's previous album 'Yeezus' says that he disagreed with him several times while making of it.
Reuters Kanye West arrives at the CFDA Fashion awards at the Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City June 6, 2011.
Calling 'Yeezus' a 'hard album' to work on, Malik revealed to Rolling Stone magazine that Kanye did not want it to be a regular album. 'We fought over Yeezus every day. There was no friendly disagreements. It was definitely a war,' revealed Yusef to Rolling Stone magazine adding that Kanye even went to the extent of removing him from his label 'eight times' because of the differences.
However, the rapper and the writer seem to have finally struck a chord after the release of 'Yeezus' and both of them are working together again on Kanye's new yet-untitled album. Yusef acknowledged the fact that working with Kanye now has not been very hard. He compared Kanye's upcoming album to a pair of Timberland boots. The husband to Kim Kardashian has reportedly finished working on 20 new songs on his new album and is still recording a few more.
'It's not the smooth, slick Chicago music sound we have right now and it's not the ruggedness of just 'Hip Hop Hip Hop Hip Hop.' We're still working like a motherf-cker,' revealed Yusef to the magazine about Kanye's album.
Kanye is hoping to release his new album by the end of this year. The rapper also made 20 people listen to his new album in a dark room during the time of Paris Fashion Week. Not much is revealed about the secret listening party of Kanye West's new album except an Instagram post by rapper Theophilus .
'So shortly after this picture I Only remember Kanye playing his new album three times in a dark room of 20 people last night and moshing drunk with mad babes haha,' Brooklyn-based rapper Theophilus writes in one of his Instagram post back in September, reveals Pitchfork media.
