Kim Kardashian: Did She Really Not Put North In A Car Seat? — The Truth

Are we seeing what we think we're seeing? Kim Kardashian may have ridden in a car with her 1-year-old infant daughter on her lap, instead of having her strapped into a car seat, on Oct. 2. See the photo!

Several photos published on Friday, Oct. 3, show Kim Kardashian, 33, exiting a vehicle with her daughter, North West, on her lap. We don't see a car seat in the pictures, so we're a bit concerned.

Kim Kardashian: No Car Seat For North West?

Kim and North, 1, stepped out for lunch upon their return to Los Angeles from Paris on Oct. 2, and while their outfits are usually what grab our attention, it was their method of transportation that surprised us. ( See the photos.)

As Kim exited the vehicle they were riding in, North was already perched on her lap. So was she riding on the reality star's lap the entire time?

We looked at all of the photos and don't see a car seat.

HollywoodLife.com reached out to Kim's rep, who told us, 'She had a car seat. She was putting her in it once inside the vehicle.' (Phew!)

Kim and Kanye West reportedly splashed out $1,200 for a lavish car seat in 2013, so they must be using it.

We're happy to hear Kim is using appropriate safety measures! We know she would never want to see North harmed in any way.

According to California Law, any child under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat in the back seat.

Britney Spears Criticized For Not Using Car Seat

In 2006, Britney Spears was criticized for driving with her then-infant son, Sean Preston, on her lap. The singer said she did it because of a 'horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi.'
