Kim Kardashian, who rose to fame because of a sex tape, and continues to rise thanks to ten seasons of a reality television show, is scheduled to speak at a California tech conference in late October.
The 33-year-old, famous for her curves, dresses her 16-month-old daughter in half-carat diamond earrings and sheer Givenchy shirts, and now she will speak alongside Apple vice president Greg Joswiak, T-Mobile's president John Legere, the co-founder of Instagram and the CEO of YouTube at Recode's Code/Mobile event. The conference, which boasts to be a 'gathering of executives whose companies are leading the mobile revolution,' said it is hosting businesses that are reinventing the mobile industry.
'Code/Mobile will feature two days of in-depth, dynamic interviews with some of the biggest names in the industry as well as the next generation of rising stars. This mobile-centric conference will showcase our team's signature unscripted interview format, live demos and plenty of time for networking.'

Kara Swisher, a co-executive editor for Recode, which is hosting the event, admits Kardashian is an unlikely choice, but because of her 'clear impact' in the digital realm, Swisher wants to hear what she has to say.
Kim Kardashian launched a game app, called 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,' in June, and it's on track to make $200 million by the end of the year, Forbes reports. It also has a near-perfect rating in the iTunes store.
In the game, users scale up the Hollywood social ladder by buying jewelry and bumping elbows with A-listers. And yes, in wake of Kardashian's wedding to rapper Kanye West, players can now get married in the game.
Glu Mobile, a mobile game publisher based in San Francisco, published the game. Kardashian did not create the game, she simply branded it.
'But I want to know exactly what hand she had in creating it and why it managed to become the viral success it has been, an achievement that also earned Kardashian West an awful lot of money,' Swisher writes in her piece titled 'Is Kim Kardashian West a Mobile Genius?'
'Basically, I want to know the tech secrets of Kim Kardashian West.'
The conference is Oct. 27 and 28. Sign up here.
