Fresh-faced and flashing toothy grins - this is Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie when they were just 13-years-old.
They may now be two of the most successful reality TV stars around, but back in 1994 they were awkward teens with the world before them.

Kardashian, 33, potentially embarrassed her long-time friend Richie, 32, by posting the old school thumbs-up snap on Instagram.

It's not the first time she's lifted the lid on what life was like growing up in a posh Los Angeles community.
Two years ago the mom-of-one, engaged to rapper Kanye West, uploaded a picture of herself and Richie posing for the camera with her other siblings.

Richie shot to fame in the reality series 'The Simple Life' with co-star Paris Hilton, while Kardashian later gained fame with 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians.'
Mom-of-two Richie, the adopted daughter of singer Lionel, is now wed to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.
