Jay Z Ditches Kanye West: A Happy Wife Is A Happy Life

When Jay Z did not show up at the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, rumors started flying as to why the music mogul bailed at the last minute. It was reported that Jay Z was to be Kanye Wests's best man but let West down when the Hip Hop artist was a no show. Beyonce was also rumored to have been asked by Kardashian to be the maid of honor but declined. The saga continues over the wedding snubs and possible reasons as to why the power couple did not attend. Could it be that Jay Z ditched Kanye West to follow the simple mantra of 'a happy wife is a happy life'?

Since the infamous elevator tape was released exposing a very personal and intimate fight between Jay Z and Solange Knowles, the trio has been keeping up a show of solidarity, posting pics of the family and sisters together. Though the couple did not attend, Beyonce had posted a pic on instagram of West, Kardashian and baby North on the couple's wedding day. 'Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love.' Beyonce captioned the Vogue pic of the new family, 'God Bless your beautiful family.'

Hollywood Life reports that the instagram photo does not excuse what Jay Z and Beyonce did by not attending and that West and Kardashian are hurt by the gesture. Especially how West was so excited that Jay Z was to be his best man. Radar Online reported that the day before the wedding, Jay Z and Beyonce were talking behind the engaged couples back. 'Jay Z thinks the entire Kimye wedding is a joke and it's being blown way out of proportion.' said an insider to Radar. The insider went on to explain that even though Jay Z does like Kanye , Kim apparently does not have any 'street cred'. Jay Z laughed and responded, 'The circus goes to Paris.' when asked about the Kimye wedding. An odd angle for a best man to take but taken all the same. Jay Z had even went as far as to send Kanye a gift. It was a flask that was gold-plated and encrusted with diamonds with an inscription along the lines of accepting the invite to be West's best man. The gift came with a bottle of scotch priced at $10,000 for Kanye's wedding day. The insider said that West was so happy and excited that the rapper went running around the Jenner's home saying, 'Baby, look! Look! Jay Z and B are coming!'. However, that was not the final case as Jay Z opted to keep his wife happy and his life by remaining with his family instead of intending the massive, media event.

On the heels of Beyonce and Jay Z's very public elevator attack, is it any wonder that the dynamic duo opted to stay away from the media circus? With his own marriage under the radar, why wouldn't Jay Z stay with his wife and daughter rather than go to the wedding alone? Jay Z, as Kanye West might learn, knows that 'a happy wife is a happy life' and the music mogul ditched the wedding in order to keep his priorities straight. It seems that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are going to have to let the drama go and just move on. Not everyone can slip into the Hollywood royalty circle of Beyonce and Jay Z, not even West or the Kardashians.
