Kanye West sprinkled a little bit of ranting into an otherwise emotional, devotional speech after marrying Kim Kardashian in Florence, Italy over the weekend, according to . While he toasted his new wife earlier in the evening, West took the mic again later in the night, delivering a 20-minute speech that touched on celebrity, 'public warfare' and, of course, his bride.
'They feel like it's okay to put you on the tabloid covers to sell your image, to use you in an spoof,' West said, according to an observer. 'We don't negotiate. We're not like that. We're not stupid.'

West went on to call the Kardashian family 'an industry,' and of the couple's inner circle said, 'We are warriors! There is not one person at this table that has not had to defend us at some point or another.'
While West offered praise for other guests as well - 'The combination of powers... can make the world a better place,' he said of one table - he ultimately returned to Kardashian, calling her the 'ideal celebrity... the ideal art.' The rapper's fond words echoed back to his toast at the couple's rehearsal dinner (casually held at the Palace of Versailles outside of Paris) where he said, 'Kim's way more beautiful than I am talented.'
West and Kardashian began dating back in the spring of 2012, and welcomed their daughter North 'Nori' West into the world in June 2013. The rapper proposed to the reality TV star in characteristically extravagant fashion in February, renting out San Francisco's AT&T Park and hiring the Chicago Symphony to play while the Jumbotron spelled out, 'Pleeease Marry Meee!!!' The couple's wedding was equally over-the-top, with the weekend festivities reportedly featuring performances from magician David Blaine, Lana Del Rey and John Legend.
