Lily Allen: I respect Kanye West's attitude

Oh, Sheezus! There was no cleaver brainstorming about the title for Lily Allen's latest album. She's just one big Kanye West devotee.

'I'm a massive fan,' the British singer said in the June issue of Cosmopolitan. '[He] had an album called 'Yeezus.''

It goes beyond the album's title or her undying musical affection for West. Allen also loves and seemingly mimics his outspoken, unapologetic persona.

'I respect him for many different reasons, not just his music, but also as a personality,' she continued. 'He is always open, honest, true to his word, and doesn't give a hmm-mmm what anybody thinks. If that makes him Yeezus, then I sure as hell will be Sheezus.'

The 28-year-old singer has taken on her own sort of 'doesn't give a hmm-mmm' sensibility. Recently, she imitated Beyonce's infamous Grammys opening performance of 'Drunk In Love' and some fans slammed her for what they perceived as Allen making fun of Jay Z's lady.

'Each time I play GAY I do a cover in drag. 1st time I did Dorothy, last time Britney, thus tone Queen Bey,' she tweeted shortly after the performance. 'Why do people jump to conclusions?'

Allen shot to fame eight years ago with her hit single 'Smile.' Since then she seems to constantly find her way into the spotlight with things like her outlandish music videos and recent weight loss. But the limelight wasn't exactly what attracted Allen to a career in entertainment. The perks did.

'My dad's an actor, and he took me on location once when he was shooting a film,' she recalled in Cosmo. 'He must have been really hung over, because his assistant came, woke him up, pulled him out of bed, gave him a cup of coffee, ran him a bath, then got him dressed and put him in a car. I was like, 'That's cool. I'd like to live like that.''

And, well, she sort of does. Only the wife and mother of three doesn't always have an assistant by her side. Instead she uses her iPhone to do list to keep her on track and until everything is checked off, Allen can't end her day.

'I can't go to bed until I've ticked off everything on my list in my notes on my iPhone or until I've finished my flagged emails,' she said. 'There's probably eight or nine things a day, on average. I know I can go to bed when I've done the last flagged thing.'
