Reality star Kim Kardashian has been spotted dining at a restaurant on the boardwalk.
Kardashian is at the Spicy Cantina restaurant at 500 Boardwalk, authorities said, surrounded by a security detail. According to an Instagram post, Kardashian is with friend and publicist Jonathan Cheban, and appears to be filming an episode of her reality series.
More than 2,000 fans are gathered on the boardwalk, hoping for a glimpse of the star, Police Chief Thomas Boyd said.
Security was needed to manage the crowds, sources confirmed. The restaurant's website said it is closed today.
Seaside Heights Police were called to assist in managing the crowd.
Boyd said that he was not privy to her plans 'but it is an honor to have her here in our borough.'
'It is unbelievable,' Boyd said.
Of course, this is not the first time reality television has filmed in Seaside Heights. MTV's 'Jersey Shore' was based in Seaside Heights.
