Kanye West collaborates with APC

Rapper and designer Kanye West has created a capsule collection of menswear for popular French brand A.P.C.

A recent W Magazine interview with Kanye West hinted that the rapper had collaborated on a capsule collection of menswear with a 'hip French brand', but left us guessing as to exactly which label it was.

Now A.P.C., which is indeed a very hip French brand, has confirmed that it is the brand in question.

A simple tweet from A.P.C ., 'A.P.C. KANYE CAPSULE COLLECTION JULY 14', sealed the deal, with West later taking to his own account to thank the brand's founder: 'Thank you Jean Touitou for letting me create with you'. Both parties provided links to their websites, which both feature an image of a pair of jeans with a red 'A.P.C. KANYE' label.

The collection of jeans, T-shirts and hoodies will be available from www.apc.fr at 10am on July 14, and signals West's first tentative step back into the fashion world after the two poorly-received collections produced under his KW label, though he's said to be in the process of setting up an atelier in Milan to relaunch it in the near future.

A.P.C. is known for its understated branding and minimalist design, which suits West just fine as he no longer wears any clothing with visible logos because he 'no longer believes in dropping brand names, except for his own.'
