LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Attorneys for Kanye West were expected to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday afternoon for a case involving the rapper's alleged attack on a paparazzo at LAX.
West has previously pleaded not guilty to charges of misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft.
The run-in happened in July 2013 after the rap star - who is engaged to reality TV star Kim Kardashian - arrived at the Bradley International Terminal.
West's attorney says the rapper was only trying to prevent a photographer, Daniel Ramos, from taking his picture.
Ramos has also filed a civil lawsuit against West.
Ramos will be present to give his impact statement, attorney Gloria Allred said.
A news conference will also be held following the 1:30 p.m. court date.
West is not required to appear.
