Jaws dropped worldwide last Friday when Vogue premiered its April cover starring none other than Kim Kardashian and Though rumors of the potential cover have swirled for months, no solid confirmations were made before the actual image was released; editor-in-chief Anna Wintour justified her controversial decision to spotlight the reality starlet and her rapper-designer fiance in a letter also released Friday.

A source tells Us Weekly, 'Everything was top secret. Only a very small number of people were told it was happening, and all of them were sworn to secrecy.'
The wedding-focused shoot took place over two days and was shot 'all in the L.A. area' sometime in late January or early February.

'They took some photos in the plane but didn't fly anywhere,' the source continued. 'There are lots of photos of Kim in different kinds of white wedding-like dresses.' There are also multiple shots with the couple's 9-month-old daughter North West.
As for the cover girl herself, Kardashian, 33, is elated.

'Kim has wanted this for so long, she is beyond happy,' the source revealed. 'She's ignoring all the negative backlash. She doesn't listen to what other people think.'
