It looks like Kim Kardashian may get the award for most awkward wardrobe malfunction of the night after the split in her dress revealed her underwear as she was rushing to get to the 2014 Met Ball Gala.

The last thing Kim Kardashian expected before the 2014 Met Ball Gala was to have her dress peel off mid-stride. Sadly, that's exactly what happened to the 33-year-old reality queen.

Apparently, she was running to make the Met Ball, reports Eonline. In her mad rush from the Lanvin store to jump into the awaiting limo with Kanye, she stepped on her dress and the rest is history.

All hubby Kanye West could do was smile as his wife tried to keep her stunning blue and black dress from opening further. The split in the dress opened mid-step and revealed Kim's navy blue panties to the awaiting fans and photogs with ready cameras.

Overall, this is just a bump in the road for Kim. Up to this point everything had been going right.

Kim and Kanye were just officially married, before that baby north was born, and to top it all off the couple is going to have the big wedding ceremony in Paris on May 24.
