Kim Kardashian, national treasure, is releasing a hardcover book of selfies entitled 'Selfish'. Yes, really.

It's time for everyone to acknowledge that Kim Kardashian, 33, is a genius. No, really: she is set to release a book of selfies entitled Selfish. Is Kim more self-aware than most people are giving her credit for?

The hardcover book, set to release April 7, 2015, will set you back $19.99 - totally worth it.

Also worth nothing is the cover, first posted to Kim's Instagram on August 8. While Kim is obviously looking as sexy as ever, check out the way it's laid out - it looks like Kim is saying that 'Selfish' is her middle name. You guys: she is a genius. There's no way that wasn't on purpose.

Kim first brought up the idea of a selfie book on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. She had wanted to surprise then-fiancé Kanye West, 37, with something special for Valentine's Day, and decided to send him a series of sexy selfies.

'I had Stephanie [Kim's assistant] get a Polaroid and we were taking photos around the entire house ... making this cool book and it ended up turning out so cool,' Kim told her rapt family on KUWTK while on vacation in Thailand. 'We came up with this idea to do a selfie book so I'm going to make some super racy.'

Stepbrother Brody Jenner, 30, asked if the book would only be for Kanye, and Kim revealed that she 'might share some of them - some of them.'

And lo, the idea of a selfie book for mass consumption was born.

Following the enormous success of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, it seems like Kim really can put her face on anything and it will sell.

However, her genius of late is not in her ability to sell things just because they have her brand on them, but because of the level of self-awareness she brings to the table. The iPhone game, for example, constantly pokes fun of celebrity culture and the idea of being famous for doing 'nothing'; Selfish is just Kim's latest gambit to prove that she's in on the joke, but really, it's on us - after all, we'll be buying it, won't we?
