The 17-year-old was confronted by her older sister while she, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were on their way to an event. During the limo ride, Kim Kardashian told Jenner that the two would need to have a serious discussion about whether or not the youngest member of the clan would be sporting her newly brightened look to the event of the century, which at the time was only days away. She suggested her half-sister use clip-in hair extensions to prevent attention being drawn to the colored locks, an option that Jenner flat out refused.
The bride-to-be did not take very kindly to this response, going on to give a solo statement to the camera that she did not understand why her sister would insist on having blue hair at her wedding, something that she did not feel was entirely appropriate for the occasion. She went on to detail her feelings that her younger sister was blatantly disrespecting both her feelings and the importance of the event.
Kim Kardashian was not the only member of the family that was less than impressed with Jenner's new locks. Family matriarch Kris Jenner was also reportedly displeased with her daughter's style choice, as Jenner recalled in an interview with E! that took place in May, right around the time of the wedding. She says that her mother told her that she looked like a Skittle, adding that the color in no way suited her. Jenner then joked that she informed her mother that she would keep the hairstyle for two years just because her mother had made such a remark.
This is not the first reported incident of Kim Kardashian making extreme demands and stressing out about her upcoming nuptials, to the point that some began to refer to her as a 'bridezilla.' She was reportedly obsessed with her weight and figure in the months leading up to her big day, going on extreme diets and getting new fittings for her wedding dress on a constant basis. There were reports that she was jealous of younger sister Khloe's newly slimmed-down figure, which she was said to believe would outshine.
She also reportedly did not want her sister's rumored new boyfriend at the time, rapper French Montana, to attend as the gossip surrounding this would take away from the focus on her and West. There was also the matter of her brother, Rob, leaving the wedding before it had even started, which some sources stated was because of Kim Kardashian reprimanding him for not losing enough weight before her ceremony. Kim has since denied these rumors, stating that it was Rob, himself, that was embarrassed to be photographed.
Kylie Jenner has since removed the blue hue from her hair. She has dyed her hair a dark brown color and added extensions. There is no word as to whether or not her choice to get rid of the color was in any way associated with half-sister Kim Kardashian's displeasure with it.
