Nearly a month after Macklemore shared the apologetic Grammy text with the world, Kendrick Lamar finally publicly responds. Many fans felt strongly about Macklemore's decision to send the humbling message that read, 'I wanted you to win. You should have. It's weird and it sucks that I robbed you. I was gonna say that during the speech.' Even Drake had negative feelings towards it and expressed them in his recent interview with Rolling Stone, however Kendrick Lamar expressed different emotions towards the message.
In the cover story with Billboard, Lamar stated, 'That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude...However it panned out, I wish him much success. He touched people's souls, and no one can take that away. Really, the whole Grammy moment was incredible. Not everyone gets that shot.'
According to Rolling Stone, Kanye West paid a visit to Drake's show in Germany, where he performed 'Black Skinhead'. After the performance, Drake shared some kind words with Kanye West and the audience by saying, 'I want you to understand, this is my dear friend...This is the reason why I'm standing in front of you today. This is the mentor.'
This follows Drakes performance of 'Forever' at the Yeezus show in Toronto and West's appearance at OVO Fest early last year.
Last week, Kanye West also released the trailer for his upcoming film, Yeezus. The film will be directed by Hype Williams who has directed movies for many popular artists including Coldplay & Beyonce. Watch the exciting trailer here.
