Thankfully, 15-year-old is still alive after being shot outside of a Foot Locker in Brooklyn, New York. The shooting took place at 5:40 a.m. when Isaiah angered other shoppers by jumping ahead in line. Many had already been camped out for hours waiting on the 8 a.m release of Kanye West's new sneaker.
15-year-old Boy Shot Over Nike Shoes
It's nearly unbelievable that teenagers are literally risking their lives in order to get a new pair of sneakers.
Customers camped out all night at the Knickerbocker Avenue Foot Locker hoping to score a new pair of the $150 Air Jordan 11 Low 'Green Snakeskin' and the $250 Nike Air Foamposite Pro 'Yeezy' sneakers, which were released at 8 a.m. According to police reports, Isaiah angered customers when he cut in front of the long line to be closer to the front. A scuffle began after he refused to go to the back of the line, and one outraged customer told the teenager that he would be coming back with his gun.
Take Our Poll
Isaiah must have not taken the threat seriously, because he still had not moved when the gunman returned to fire 4 shots in his direction, one of which hit him directly in his foot.
Shooting Outside Of Brooklyn Foot Locker - One Victim Wounded
There is still no suspect in custody, however, eye witness reports say that the alleged gunman was seen fleeing the scene while wearing a red jacket.
Is it really possible that no one identified the shooter? Or is the age-old New York 'no snitching' rule still in full effect? Either way, we think it's absolutely ridiculous that a teen got shot over a new pair of sneakers! What are your thoughts, HollywoodLifers?
