Vogue Writer Claims Kate Upton's Cover Was "Bumped" by Kim Kardashian and ...

After was bumped from the April cover of Vogue magazine in favor of Kim Kardashian and , the writer of the model's feature has finally broken his silence on the last-minute switch.

Jonathan Van Meter threw shade at the fashion bible for not notifying him in advance that his in-depth interview with the buxom blonde on his Facebook page earlier today.

'After getting bumped from the cover of April Vogue for Kimye and finding out only once it hit newsstands, I think I have earned the right to post this little bit of frothy praise,' he wrote in a post this morning, but has since taken down.

The author, who has profiled many A-listers in the past for Vogue such as and Oprah Winfrey, shared a review of the issue from the blog Magazine Review.

In it, the review wrote, 'While the article that goes with the [Kardashian-West] cover story is entertaining, the jewel of this [issue] is undoubtedly 'Follow Me' by Jonathan Van Meter, photographed by Mario Testino.'

Van Meter then posted, 'So there.' Says it all, doesn't it?

E! News first reported last month that The Other Woman actress was originally slated to be on the April cover before the decision was made to use Kim and Kanye instead.

However, a source close to Upton denied the model ever expected to be on the cover at the time.

Additionally, when asked about the alleged cover switcheroo, Hildy Kuryk, Communications Director at, said, 'We are all huge supporters of Kate here at and have been thrilled to feature her numerous times in the past year, both on the cover and inside the magazine. There was never a cover commitment made to Kate, and we look forward to working with her in the future.'
