Instrumental tribute came at recent gig in Dublin

Jack White opened his recent live show in Dublin with a cover of Kanye West's 'Black Skinhead.' Click above to watch fan-shot footage of the moment.

White, who previously revealed that West had approached him with a view to working with him on 2013 album 'Yeezus', performed the song entirely as an instrumental at the start of the show. As previously reported, the gig at Dublin's Royal Hospital Kilmainham saw White defying a curfew to carry on performing despite having the power cut off at the end of his scheduled set.

Elsewhere at the same show, White was joined by The Kills for an unplugged cover of Leadbelly's 'Goodnight Irene'. The 135-minute show also included covers of Beck's 'Where It's At' and The Stooges' 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' as part of a medley with The White Stripes' 'Fell In Love With A Girl'.

White also performed a cover of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' at Glastonbury over the weekend. He embarks on a three-date tour in November.

Jack White will play:

November 17: Leeds Arena November 18: Glasgow Hydro Arena November 19: London O2
