'She Doesn't Qualify': Kanye West's Hopes For Kim Kardashian Star On ...

Kanye West may have insisted his girlfriend Kim Kardashian more than deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but it looks like poor Kanye's hopes for his baby mama have been dashed.

The rapper spent much of his recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel gushing about his gorgeous girlfriend and at one point during his chat a week ago he told the talk show king that 'there's no way that Kim Kardashian shouldn't have a star on the Walk of Fame.'

Whilst Kanye is adamant there's no one more deserving it sounds like the people in charge of star allocation have very different ideas.

According to Yahoo omg! Ana Martinez, spokeswoman for the Walk and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, has spoken out on Kanye's request for a Kimmie star.

'We don't have reality stars on the Walk of Fame,' Ana is reported to have told the site, bluntly adding: 'We don't have a category for it. We're happy to consider reality stars once they get nominated for, or win, an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar. We'll consider them when they're legitimate actors or singers.'

Ouch! And apparently Kanye's gushing endorsement just doesn't match up to an Oscar win:

'I know he loves her, and it's all very sweet,' Martinez goes on 'But she doesn't qualify.'

According to the official rules behind the famed practice of awarding stars with a star, celebrities have to be nominated before they can be considered.

It's thought The Hollywood Chamber gets as many as 200 to 300 nominations every year, which mostly come from publicists on behalf of their clients, Unfortunately for Kim there's no precedent as a reality star has never even received a nomination! 'I hate to say it, but a lot of people just don't like like her,' Martinez allegedly says. 'No one has ever nominated her.'

What's the betting that Ana and her team will be receiving a strongly worded letter from Kanye tomorrow?
