How Kim Kardashian 'tried to initiate' an affair with Kanye West while dating ...

Her love affair with Reggie Bush once formed the fairytale plotline of Keeping Up With The Kardashians - until it all went wrong.

But now it is being claimed that even while professing her love for the American footballer, the reality star was scheming behind the scenes to get with Kanye West.

During her three-year on/off relationship with Reegie, which ended in 2010, Kim is reported to have been sending messages to Kanye in an attempt to seduce him.

'Kim attempted several times to initiate an affair with Kanye and even was busted by Reggie for it,' a source close to the Kardashian family told Radar Online.

'It lead to a couple of their short term break-ups.'

Kim and Kanye began dating officially two years ago, but had been friends for much longer.

And the source added: 'Even Kim herself admits that while she loved Reggie, she was obsessed with Kanye because she found him fashionable and exciting in a way that Reggie just wasn't.'

But despite Kim's alleged scheming, she was not the only one.

Rapper Kanye has in fact spoken about how he spent nine years convincing Kim to date him - despite spending much of that time in a committed relationship with Amber Rose.

The Black Skinhead star would go so far as to add himself next to Kim in the annual Karadashian/Jenner family Christmas card and send it to the 33-year-old.

'I just dreamed about being next to her,' he has said.

And Kanye is thought to have declared his love for Kim in one of his 2009 tracks, Knock You Down, released while she was dating Reggie.

Kanye is widely thought to have been referring to Kim in the lyrics of the song, urging the 'cheerleader of his dreams' to 'leave her boyfriend'.

He has referred to Kim in a series of songs, including his most recent collaboration with Future, on whose new track I Won he slams two of the reality star's most famous exes, Kris Humphries and Reggie Bush.

'I made it over NBA, NFL players,' Kanye raps. 'So every time I score it's like the Super Bowl.'

However while Kim and Kanye may feel their relationship is a fairytale ending, their former partners may not be so thrilled.

Amber Rose has spoken publicly about her annoyance that Kim flirted with Kanye while she was dating him.

In January 2012 she revealed that Kim sent racy photos of herself to Kanye.

'Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together,' she revealed/

'She's a home wrecker. They were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other.'
