Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has been known for many things: her highly publicized short-lived marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries, her recent marriage to rapper Kanye West, her ongoing reality show stardom, and the 2003 sex tape with her former boyfriend, Ray J, that launched her into the spotlight when it was leaked in 2007. But it's her voluptuous derriere that's consistently stolen her show. It's been criticized - even mocked - through her years as a celeb for being, well, big.
Now Kim's putting this very same ridiculed rear into the limelight on her own terms. She's the cover girl for Paper Magazine, where she's photographed from the back, showing the world her bare behind. But there's a message attached: ' Break the Internet.'

The other thing for which Kim is known is being all over the Internet, all the time.
'For our winter issue, we gave ourselves one assignment: Break The Internet. There is no other person that we can think of who is up to the task than one Kim Kardashian West. A pop culture fascination able to generate headlines just by leaving her house, Kim is what makes the web tick,' writes Paper Magazine.

In one photo, E!'s 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star is photographed wearing a sleek black evening gown while balancing a champagne glass on her much talked about asset.
'We tapped legendary French photographer Jean-Paul Goude to recreate his iconic 'Champagne Incident' shot,' Paper Magazine writes.
In another up-close photo, she's shown from the back, wearing only long black gloves and pearls wrapped tightly around her neck while peeling off her gown, exposing her oily backside for all the world to see.
Kim took to Instagram and Twitter Tuesday night to kick off the social sharing of her latest photos, writing about her 'talent' of balancing the champagne glass.

As for her husband's reaction? He simply tweeted '#AllDay.'
So far Kim's bum has not broken the Internet, but it has managed to set it all abuzz.
Here's some Twitter reaction to Kim's photoshoot from across the web - all before the magazine releases the issue's inside photos on Thursday:
