The massive sparkler sold for $749,000 at auction Tuesday in New York, a rep for Christie's told the Daily News.
The Lorraine Schwartz ring features a gigantic 16.2-karat emerald cut center stone flanked by 1.8-karat trapezoid side diamonds.
Christie's declined to name the NBA power forward as the seller, saying only that 'a gentleman' was behind the listing.

'He has long-since moved on and is very much looking forward to a successful auction at Christie's on Tuesday, and of course to returning to the court this upcoming NBA season as a Boston Celtic,' the rep said last week.
The ring was valued by Christie's at between $300,000 and $500,000.
Humphries, who recently was traded to the Celtics, presented Kardashian with the ring on bended knee with 'Will You Marry Me?' spelled out in rose petals during a scene captured for the brunette bombshell's TV show.

The ring's value was estimated at $2 million at the time.
Humphries and Kardashian married in August 2011 during a lavish affair turned into a TV special, but the union lasted just 72 days.
Kardashian, 32, filed for divorce that Halloween, saying her decision followed 'careful consideration.'
Humphries, 28, said he was blindsided.
'I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce,' he said in a statement sent to The News.
Their divorce was finalized in June, just two weeks before Kardashian gave birth to daughter North West, fathered by her rapper boyfriend Kanye West.
