He is known for favouring extravagant gold chains.

But Kanye West replaced his bling with a delicate 'Nori' nameplate necklace in honour of his daughter North on Monday.

The rapper wore the golden tribute while out in Beverly Hills, California.

The 37-year-old and his newlywed bride Kim Kardashian, 33, earlier this month celebrated the first birthday of daughter North who has the cute nickname Nori.Kanye had his daughter close to his heart with the necklace that stood out against his long-sleeved bright white crewneck shirt.

The 21-time Grammy Award winner completed his outfit with faded blue jeans and tan Native American-inspired moccasins.

Kanye and Kim were married last month in an extravagant affair in Florence, Italy.

The couple threw Nori a Kidchella themed birthday bash over the weekend with a bohemian theme based on the annual Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival held in Indio, California.

Kim has her own version of the Nori necklace and was spotted wearing it last September in Paris. Kanye also has worn his periodically and was last spotted wearing the nameplate in October.

The family has an affinity for nameplate necklaces as momager Kris Jenner, 58, gave her daughters necklaces in July 2012 to welcome Kourtney's second child Penelope.

Kim and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner wore necklaces designed by Jennifer Meyer with the touching slogan: 'Mason loves Penelope (with a heart symbol instead of the word 'loves').

Kourtney and longtime partner Scott Disick also have an older son Mason and more necklaces may coming as they recently confirmed a third child was on the way.

Kanye was shown on Monday speaking to students at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College as part of the required 250 hours of community service doled out to him in a plea deal from his lawsuit related to a scuffle with photographer Daniel Ramos in 2013.

The Yeezus singer spoke to students about his personal experiences in the fashion business.

Kanye is required to complete 24 sessions of a level-two anger management program as part of his plea deal.
