Annie Leibovitz has addressed her absence from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding.
The 37-year-old rapper claimed this week at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival that the famed photog bailed from snapping pictures at the couple's nuptials because she was 'scared of the idea of celebrity.'
Leibovitz and West have since released a joint statement regarding the comments.
'Annie would have been happy to do the portrait but she was never confirmed,' a representative for Leibovitz said, adding West's words were 'taken out of context and sensationalized.'
West's new wife shared a photo of the pair kissing on their big day in Florence on Instagram and it quickly became the most-liked photo ever on the social media site.
'Let me tell you something about that kiss photo that my girl put up ... this was p---ing my girl off during the honeymoon, she was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much because Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding,' West shared at the press conference.

'We worked on our wedding photo for four days until it was good enough for Instagram.'
Leibovitz shot the couple for their famous Vogue cover back in April, but according to the statement she is 'not known to shoot weddings.'
Despite the fact that West was clearly bothered that the two were unable to collaborate, he is 'not assigning blame and is not accusing Annie in any way,' according to the release.
'Picture this,' West added. 'The most-liked Instagram photo of all time, shot by Annie Leibowitz. Oh, I'm sorry for dreaming out loud. Again.'
