Kanye West Blames Bad Cinematography for Refusal to Appear on Kardashians ...

We'd be watching Kanye chilling with Scott Disick every week on TV if it weren't for the show's darned Director of Photography

Kanye West has spent years cultivating a certain image. So you might imagine that the reason the rapper is noticeably absent from his fiancée Kim Kardashian's show Keeping Up With the Kardashians is because an argument about whether to install a putting green in the backyard over prepackaged salads doesn't really mesh with his music (see, songs like 'Black Skinhead').

But no. It's just the cinematography.

West revealed to Angie Martinez on her radio show that he doesn't like the way the show is shot, according to Vanity Fair. 'I don't really do her show just because I don't particularly like the way the producers shoot some of the shots,' West said. 'I'm very meticulous to that, right? I like to get a different DP [director of photography] or whatever.'

Before you get on Kanye's case for being too snobby about camera angles, 'Ye is used to high quality production. Maybe he can convince the DP from the 'Bound 2′ music video to shoot a couple episodes of Keeping Up. Now that was grade A cinematography.

And he does make some exceptions to his no reality TV rule. 'When we got engaged, I made sure the show was there because I felt like that was something that would make her happy,' he said. 'Regardless of how it was shot, I felt like this is a moment she would like to have and would like to share, and just have that documented. And we could decide later or not to air it.'
