Maria Kang 'Fit Mom' Slams Kim Kardashian's Body: 'She's Average'

Share on :
HollywoodLife.com spoke to Maria after Facebook banned her for ranting about how it's wrong to glorify women for being overweight. Now she's telling HollywoodLife.com that Kim Kardashian does not fall into the 'skinny' category, as well as why Gov. Chris Christie shouldn't be President unless he tries to lose weight.

Maria Kang is making headlines once again, this time for being banned on Facebook for slamming obese and plus-sized women for posing in lingerie. But she's not backing down; the mom-of-three tells HollywoodLife.com that she has a major problem with people being 'happy' and 'satisfied' with being overweight. She even goes so far as to say that people who look up to Kim Kardashian, must remember that she's not skinny.

Maria Kang Slams Kim Kardashian's Body As 'Average'

Maria, who made headlines in October for posting a picture of herself showing off her abs, alongside her three children with the caption: 'What's your excuse?' just can't seem to get her point across without offending the masses. Now she's causing another firestorm by criticizing plus-sized models, but she believes the outrage in the media means she's doing the right thing by making people 'uncomfortable.'

Take Our Poll

HollywoodLife.com tried to get to the bottom of her true feelings about who she considers overweight and we started with our favorite curvy Kardashian, Kim. Who is by no means overweight.

'I think Kim Kardashian is a great average person,' she says pausing. 'She has a great butt ... but everyone sees that her popularity stems from representing a lot of women out there ... who have curves.'

We brought up another well-known face who has caused headlines for his own fitness routine, or lack thereof, New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie.

I think there will be some criticism of how he looks [if he runs for President]. But does that define how he can lead? He sounds like a great leader but his weight will be his Achilles heel. Good health stems from good discipline and discipline is a sign of strength. He knows he is over weight and challenged with his eating habits. But if he's trying but still overweight that's great but if he's saying 'I'm fat and I'll stay fat' then I think you're sending the wrong message.

Maria Speaks Out After Controversial Photo Goes Viral

Maria takes offense to people saying that she is 'fat-shaming' people with her posts and Facebook messages. She took to Facebook when the initial photo made headlines in October and she wrote:

'Some [commenters are] saying I'm a bully, I'm fat-shaming and I need to apologize for the hurt I've caused women. I get it. SO here's my First and Final Apology:

I'm sorry you took an image and resonated with it in such a negative way. I won't go into details that I struggled with my genetics, had an eating disorder, work full-time owning two business', have no nanny, am not naturally skinny and do not work as a personal trainer. I won't even mention how I didn't give into cravings for ice cream, french fries or chocolate while pregnant or use my growing belly as an excuse to be inactive.'

HollywoodLifers, do you agree with Maria's opinions or is she going too far?
