Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney Kardashian share a love for sleek couture, a similar vocabulary, a television show, and even the same gene pool, but one thing they don't have in common is how they parent their children.
Kim, 33, spoke to Mail Online in Cannes, France this week about her parenting strategies in raising her daughter North, 12 months. 'Watching my sister Kourtney, I do learn a lot, but I have my own parenting style,' she said. 'We have our own styles and ways of how we do it and we respect each other's ways and we just learn a lot from each other. I'm really fun and playful but I'm more strict on naptimes and sleeping in her own crib, where Kourtney does more of an attached parent style where her kids sleep in her bed with her.'

'Especially with the third baby coming they're gonna need a bigger bed or they're gonna need some other rules,' Kim added of her sister, who is expecting her third child, Us Weekly revealed exclusively earlier this month. Kourtney, 35, and her longtime love Scott Disick are already the parents to Mason, 4, and Penelope, 23 months.
'As a first time mom I'm learning a lot as I'm going, and I'm learning so much from Kourtney, I think, the most,' Kim continued. 'What I've learned is you just have to parent your way... whatever works for you and your household. It's hard to really give people a whole lot of advice when you just have to figure it out for yourself.'

Kim's baby girl with husband Kanye West celebrated her first birthday this past weekend, on June 15.
'We did a low key birthday so it's kind of like her birthday week,' Kim said of North's celebrations. 'We hung out, it was Father's Day... we went to a few museums in New York and this weekend we're having a birthday party for her.'

As to whether Nori will be getting a little sister or brother anytime soon, Kim reflected on her own experience with five siblings, and hinted that she has plans for a second child.
'I grew up with a lot of sisters and a brother, so a lot of siblings, so I know what that's like,' she told Mail Online. 'I don't know if I would really follow in my mom's footsteps and have six -- I think that's a little crazy, I don't know how they did it. They were in their twenties and they weren't really thinking right. But I like a big family so I would definitely like one more and see how that goes.'

The reality star is trying to keep herself from planning too far ahead, however, as she says she is trying to focus on where her family is in the present. '[North] just turned one... I'm pretty good at living in the moment, because everyone says it goes really quickly and you'll just blink and she'll be 5 years old,' Kim said of her daughter. 'It just happens so fast. I really do try to live in the moment of each age phase that she's at.'
