Kanye West and Kim Kardashian sue YouTube founder for...

Kanye West and fiance Kim Kardashian are suing YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley for posting a video of their elaborate semi-private marriage proposal despite signing a confidentiality agreement.

The two-minute clip was posted on Hurley's new site MixBit, where it got 1.64 million views. Celebrity gossip site TMZ quickly reposted the grainy footage, which was taken inside the event at San Francisco's AT&T Park.

The video shows an orchestra, fireworks, West getting down on one knee, and the famous couple being surrounded by a crush of guests. West and Kardashian had planned to sell exclusive footage to a division of Entertainment Television.

The video, uploaded on October 22nd, was a coup for the nascent video remixing site. MixBit, which is designed for collaborative video remixing, has not had much traction since it launched in August. 'This was a Hail Mary play to get people interested in a website they'd have otherwise never come across in a thousand years,' Valleywag says.

It must have been disappointing for Hurley to see such relatively low views on his star-studded exclusive, obtained by tailing a friend into the event. But being sued by two of the hottest names in music and Hollywood? That's not bad publicity.
