While Kanye, 36, isn't one to stand by and be dissed, he admits that it's a pretty big deal when someone like President Obama, 52, references you in conversation.

'When was the last time the president started talking about a rapper and his personal life? When the president starts talking about you, you know you're influencing people,' a source close to the 'Jesus Walks' artist tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. 'To keep it real, Kanye thinks the prez has one if not all his albums on his iPod so he needs to stop fronting. If Obama was to let us see the track lists, bet Kanye is in there!'

Way to put a positive spin on those disses, Kanye!

Kanye West To The President: Don't 'Mention My Baby Mama Name'

Kanye gave the POTUS a direct order on Nov. 18 - to leave his and Kim's name out of his mouth!

In a new interview with 107.9 FM in Philly, Kanye takes a jab at the president, saying he 'shouldn't mention my baby mama name, 'cause we both from Chicago.' He angrily added,'I don't care if you're the president, I bring joy to people.'

Kanye is of course referring to the time President Obama called the artist a 'jackass' in a 2012 interview with The Atlantic.

'I like Kanye. He's a Chicago guy. Smart. He's very talented,' the president said. 'He is a jackass,' President Obama added in reference to Kanye interrupting Taylor Swift 's VMAs acceptance speech. 'But he's talented.'

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should President Obama and Kanye West hug it out and become friends? Let us know.
