Her life may be an open book, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had made it clear it would not be the same for their baby.

Despite Kanye's wishes to keep himself and daughter North off the reality star's show and out of the public eye as much as possible, on Tuesday Kim had a change of heart and posted not one, but two pictures of their growing girl on Instagram.

Until now there had only been two pictures of the five-month-old's face but in quick succession North's famous mother posted two new images for her more than 11 million Instagram followers to see.

The little girl, whom the family affectionately calls Nori, is certainly growing up, with her cheeks getting even more adorably chubby.

In the first image baby North is pictured getting a big hug from designer Riccardo Tisci, the creative director of Givenchy - one of the 33-year-old star's favourite brands.

And while Nori may only be five-months-old, Kim clearly already knows what her girl will be when she grows up - a fashionista.

The Keeping Up With The Kardahians star tagged the picture 'new stylist' just to drive her baby's future home.

In the second image - which Kim captioned 'Lol' - fans got to see North's playful side with the baby giggling as her famous mum quickly caught the moment on her iPhone.

North's father Kanye has been been absent from his fiancee's hugely popular reality show for some time, only appearing briefly when the pair first went public with their relationship last year.

Kim had made it clear in this season finale that despite filming the lead up to her dramatic emergency delivery on June 15, the baby would not star in the show like the rest of her extended family.

The star said: 'From the start Kanye was like, ''I'm not comfortable with selling her photos like in a magazine reveal to having her on the show.''

'See it's hard because I love seeing Mason and Penelope on the show, it's so cute, like the little things they say, but I do feel like it's just a different dynamic with Kanye.'

The new snapshots of baby North provided the perfect distraction from Kim's public woes on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the star was pulled over on a Los Angeles, California, freeway for speeding.

The incident reportedly caused mayhem, as some photographers exited their vehicles to get a picture of the star.

The California Highway Patrol told TMZ that one photographer was pulled over for speeding while others left the scene.

The CHP are said to be now looking into the incident.
