Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been keeping up their trendy fashion assault on New York, stepping out for dinner in yet another striking combination.

The KUWTK star and Mercy rapper headed to ABC Kitchen for a dinner date with pals on Saturday, looking uber trendy in pair of luxe overcoats.

Kim looked flawless in a cream fur-trimmed coat matched with a white polo neck and pencil skirt, while fiance Kanye looked super stylish in a green velvet jack, a dark blue jumper and leather trousers.

The couple didn't seem fazed about recent allegations their lavish engagement last year was staged for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians as Kanye whispered sweet nothings into Kim's ear while they left the trendy eatery in Manhattan.

The pair looked completely smitten with each other, giggling and holding hands like a pair of lovestruck teenagers as they made their way to their waiting car.

It was claimed that the couple faked their elaborate engagement at the AT&T Park baseball park in San Francisco after a recent episode of the E! show appeared to show Kim folding up laundry with a rock on her finger.

This, according to the timeline of the show, was before Kanye popped the question last October.

However a rep for Kim explained the mix up to EntertainmentWise, revealing: 'The footage of Kim folding baby clothes, while wearing her engagement ring, although filmed after the proposal, was a better fit for the first episode of the two-part engagement special because we wanted part two to focus on the surprise that was to come.'
