Kim Kardashian wears bizarre fox fur scarf on date with Kanye West

Kim's journey of fashion self-discovery seems to have taken an unusual turn.

The fur-loving celebrity stepped out in New York wearing a natural coloured fox fur scarf on Sunday as part of a mismatched ensemble.

The 33-year-old went part glamazon, part gym junkie as she headed out on a date with fiance Kanye West in New York.

On the glamorous side, the 33-year-old wore the fur with a pink leather trench and a pair of suede heels but bizarrely did so with a ribbed cotton black tank and curve flaunting long black leggings.

For their date, beau Kanye wore a pair of wax denim leather look pants with a black T-shirt and brown suede workman's boots.

Earlier in the day, the 36-year-old was seen in a long fur jacket, but perhaps in an effort not to clash with Kim's statement scarf, the rapper swapped his jacket for a velvet one for their later outing.

The couple's love of animal skin may mean that the fur is about to fly in the Kardashian household.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian may soon have a very serious fashion fight, as Kim's look flew in the face of her sister's anti-fur protests earlier this week.

While the youngest of the Kardashian sisters has been vocal about the use of fur for some time, just this week the 29-year-old donned a fake fur coat with 'FXCK YO FUR' painted on the back in big red letters.

On Monday,the star wore the jacket by JoyceXBsable (designer Joyce Bonelli) and posted a video of herself on her Keek page with the caption: 'F*** Yo Fur!!! Fake fur all day people!'

While impossible to miss the sentiment, it seems Kim and her fiance did not get the message.

Blatantly ignoring Khloe's call to avoid animal pelts, Kim not only stepped out in fur but boldly donned the stole which was far from subtle as it was still in the fox's natural colourings.

While it is possible Kim wore a fake fur, the star has a penchant for wearing the real thing so much so that she was targeted by PETA in a series of billboards for wearing fox pelts.

She was also targeted in a flour bomb attack by a woman with ties to the anti-animal cruelty group.

Khloe, who famously stripped down in one of the group's advertising campaigns, severed ties with the organisation.

She said in a statement: 'Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior.'
