NE Florida counties among the best for health insurance coverage

It turns out some counties in Northeast Florida - St. Johns, Clay and Baker - are among the best in health insurance coverage, according to a study by NerdWallet Health.

NerdWallet Health recently conducted a study to examine which counties in Florida have the best health insurance coverage and which stand to benefit most from the roll out of Obamacare.

Examining doctor density, uninsured population numbers, and average monthly insurance premiums for individuals and couples, NerdWallet came up with a list of areas where Obamacare is most likely to make a positive change for residents and healthcare facilities alike - and which are already set up for success.

Incorporating doctor density looks at the number of primary care physicians in Florida counties relative to population to determine how well healthcare providers are able to respond to an increase in newly insured patients.
