Kim Kardashian likes to switch it up, even when it comes to her hair colorist.
For her blond transformation last September 2013 she went with George Papanikolas from the Andy LeCompte salon. But when she was ready to go back to brunette over the weekend she turned to Tracey Cunningham, owner of Meche Salon in Beverly Hills.
Tracey dished to E! News all about the star's mane makeover. 'I added lowlights to her hair. I did it very gradually so as to keep some of the beautiful lighter tones. What that did was give the hair a lot of dimension. To use just one color would have made it appear flat and one dimensional, and the aim was to create a multi dimensional look. This also kept the hair looking shiny and healthy,' she explained.

So what was Kim's first reaction upon seeing the darker results. 'Kim loved the look. It's really classy, but of course, she's so beautiful, she would look great with any color,' Tracey gushed.
But apparently Kim's feelings were only temporary. Two days later 's moms bemoaned the new hue. 'I'm so annoyed I dyed my hair dark! I wanted to switch it up since I feel everyone went light, and we started filming a new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashian, so I wanted a fresh look. BUT now I am missing my light hair! HELP!!!' Kardashian wrote on Monday, Feb. 3.

This didn't surprise Tracey, however. She said the dye job was done on a whim. 'There's no big reason, she just wanted a change.' She shared, adding: 'I think one day she might go back to blond, who knows. She loved being a blond.'
